Die Kanulenspitze sollte ungetahr 3-5mm von der Zahnoberflache entfernt gehalten wercien. Es ist wichtig, die Kaniile in einem
Winkel zwischen 1 0 *^ ' und 60*^ zu der zu behandelnde Zahnoberflache zu positionieren, utn den Rolleffekt zu gewahrleisten und da-
durch die Adsorptionsleistung der kugelformigen Partikel zu optimieren. Dies steht im Gegensatz zur Arbeitsweise mit den
bisherigen Natriurnbicarbof^t-Pulver. Das Pulver-Spray kann von der okklusalen Grenze zur zervikalen Begrenzung des Zahnes
ohne Verletzungs- gefahr fur die Zahnfleischtasche und die Bander des Zahnfaches zugefuhrt werden. Mit dern Anfarben des Bio
films „Zahnplaque'* z.B. mit Erythrosinlosung - steht ein sehr effizientes, augenfalliges Hilfsmittel zur Verfiigung, um die
Bestrahlungszeit auf das lokal erforderliche MaB, das durch Verschwinden der Rotfarbung sichtbar wird, zu begrenzen.
Cremen Sie dem Patlenten die Lippen mit Vaseline ein, um ein austrocknen/ rissig werden der Mundwinkel zu verhindern.
Wlr empfehlen mit Absaugung zu arbeiten.
Die Reinigungsleistung kann an Geraten, an denen eine Verstellung der Antriebslult uber den FuRanlasser moglich ist, variiert werden.

Aus Slcherheltsgrtinden darf nur mit Sciiutzbrilie (Anwender und Patient) gearbeitet werden. Wir empfehlen mit Mundschutz zu arbeiten.
Die PROPHYpearls durfen bei Patienten welche unter Erkrankung der Atemwege leiden, nicht angewendet werden. Patienten mit Kontaktlin-
sen sollten elnen zusStziichen Augenschutz tragen. In extremen EinzelfaHen kann es, besonders bei Vorliegen von pathologischen
Zahnfteischtaschen (> 6 mm), Schleimhautlasionen und langer direkter Bestrahlung des Weichgewebes zur Emphysembildung kommen,
Wurzelzement, demineraiischer Schmelz, Fullungen und Fiillungsrander sollten nicht direkt bestrahit werden. Die Reintgung darf in diesen
Faiien nur indirekt iiber den Rolleffekt erfolgen. Nach Bestrahten von Metalloberflachen konnen diese matt erscheinen.
Durch eine Zahnpolitur wird dieser Effekt wieder aufgehoben.

The PROPHYflex powder reservoir is unscrewed by rotating It counterclockwise, in the opposite direction to the arrow.
Shake the "PROPHYpearls bottle or stick well before filling the powder container.
Half fill the powder reservoir (see picture). Hold the powder reservoir upright and screwing it back onto the handpiece in a clockwise
direction. Should any PROPHYpearls remain in the powder reservoir, then seal the reservoir with the rubber cap.
KaVo PROPHYpearls should be stored in a cool ar\d dry place. Protect from heat ( > 6 0 ’C).

Procedure
The cannula tip should be held approximately 3-5 mm away from the tooth suflace. It is important to position the cannula at an
angle between lO '^ and 60*^ to the tooth surface to be treated, in order to ensure the roliiny effect and thus to optimise the adsorption
power of the spherical particles. This is in contrast to the procedure when using standard sodiumbicarbonate powders. The powder
spray can be fed Irom the occlusa! margin to the cervical boundary of the tooth without danger of injury to the periodontal pocket
and the bands of the dental alveolus. When removing stained "dental plaque" biofilm, e.g. with erythrosine solution - a very efficient,
visual aid, which limits the exposure time precisely to that required, is the disappearance of the red colour. Rub Vaseline onto the
patient's lips to prevent the corner of the mouth from drying out or cracking. We recommend workina with aspiration.

Further Information on use and safety information
For safety reasons, safety goggles must be worn by user and patient. We suggest that mouth protection is worn.
PROPHYpearls must not be used on patients who suffer from diseases of the respiratory tract. Patients with contact lenses should
wear additional eye protection. In extreme isolated cases, particularly with the presence of pathological periodontal pockets {> 6 mm),
mucosal lesions and extremely long direct exposure of the soft tissue, emphysema may occur. Root cement, demineralized enamel,
fillings and filling margins should r»ot be directly blasted. The cleaning should be performed here only indirectly via the rolling
effect. We recommend using mouth protection during the work. All parts and products with sensitive surfaces should be removed
from the troatmont area. Metallic surfaces may appear matt after treatment. This may be rectified by using tooth polish.

soit avec le KaVo PROPHYflex 3.
Les utHiser a d'autres fins n'est pas autorise et comporte des risques.
La poudre PROPHYpearls est un produit medical conforme a la legisJatfon en vigueur.
De cette legislation ii decoule que le PROPHYflex 2/PROPHYflex 3 et la poudre PROPHYpearls devront etre utilises (par le
professionnel competent) exclusivement pour I'usage pour lequel ils ont ete con^us, et en respectant les directives relatives a la

Le reservoir h poudre du PROPHYflex se ddvisse dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d'une montre (sens contraire de la fleche).
Avant de le remplir, bien secouer le bouteille/le stick de PROPHYpGarls. Puis ie remptir a moitie (voir illustration). En le tenant vertica-
lement, le visser ensuite dans le sens de la fleche (sens des aiguilles d’une montre). Si apres utilisation il reste de la poudre dedans,
bien le refermer avec son bouchon.
Conserver la poudre KaVo PROPHYpearls dans un endroit sec et frais. Ne pas Texposer a des temperatures > бО^'С.

Avvertenze per I'utente
Le PROPHYpearis sono destinate all’uso con KaVo PROPHYflex 2 e KaVo PROPHYflex 3 e per ii trattamento odontoiatrico
nell'ambito della medicina dentale.
Ogni uso diverso da quelio per lo scopo previsto non e consentito e pu6 essere pericoloso.
La polvere PROPHYpearis e un prodotto medicale secondo ie norme nazionaii di riferimento.
In base a tali norme, PROPHYflex 2 e PROPHYflex 3 possono essere utilizzati insieme alia polvere PROPHYpearis solo da
utenti competenti, per gli scopi prescritti e nell'osservanza - delle norme sulla tuteia del lavoro - delle misure in vigore sulla
prevenzione degli infortun - e delle present! Istruzioni per I'uso.
Le PROPHYpearis sono state prodotte per la pulizia delle superftci dentali.
In base a tali norme e dovere detl’utente:
- utilizzare solo materiali di lavoro in perfetto stato у

Le PROPHYpearis non sono solubili in acqua e si possono quindi concentrare nel separatore di amalgama I
causando inconvenienti e provocando la sostituzione precoce del separatore stesso. 1

Prima di riempire il contenitore della polvere, scuotere bene il „flacone / stick di PROPHYpearis".
Riempire a meta il contenitore (ved.immagine). Avvitare il contenitore ruotando a destra nel senso della treccia tenendolo In posizione
orizzontale, Se dope I'uso ё rimasta della polvere nel contenitore sigitlarlo con il tappo di gomma.
Conservare KaVo PROPHYpearis in luogo fresco e asciutto. Proteggere dal calore (>60’ ’C).

Puesta en servtclo
El recipiente de polvo del PROPHYflex desenrosca girando hacia la izquierda en contra del sentido de la flecha.
Antes de llenar el recipiente con el polvo, agitar bien el sob re de PROPHYpearls.
Rellenar el recipiente de polvo hasta la mitad {v6ase imagen).
Enroscar el recipiente de polvo bien de forma vertical girando tiacia la derecha en el sentido de la flecha. Si despues del uso
quedaran restos en el recipiente de polvo, hay que cerrarlo con la tapa de goma.
Almacenar KaVo PROPHYpearls en un ambiente fresco у seco. Proteger contra calor { >60* C).

vi'as respiratorias. Pacientes con lentes de contacto debenan llevar una proteccion adicional para los ojos. En casos extremes se
puede producir la formacidn de enfisema. especialmente en el ease de la existencia de bolsas gingivales patol6gicas (> 6 mm), lesio-
nes de la mucosa у un chorreado directo у extremadamente largo del tejido blando. Es recomendable no chorrear directamente ce-
mento radicular, esmalte desminerallzado, empastes у bordes de empaste. La limpieza se deberia realizar aqui sblo de forma indirecta
a traves del efecto de rodadura, Nosotros recomendamos el trabajo con proteccion bucal. Todas las piezas о productos con
superficies sensibles se tienen que quitar de la zona de tratamiento. En estos casos (a limpieza solo se debe realizar indirectamente a tra-
ves del efecto de rodaje. Despu6s del chorreado de superficies de metal 6stas pueden aparecer sin brillo. Este efecto se puede quitar por

De PROPHYpearls zijn bestemd voor toepassing in de KaVo PROPHYflex 2 en de KaVo PROPHYflex 3 en uitsluilend bedoeld
voor de tandheelkundige behandeiing door de landarts.
Elke hiervan afwijkende toepassing is niet toegestaan en is met risico’s vertoonden.
Het PROPHYpearls-poeder is een geneeskundig hulpmiddel volgens de geldende nationale wetteiijke bepahngen.
Volgens deze bepalingen mogen de PROPHYflex 2 en de PROPHYflex 3 in combinatie rnet het PROPHYpearls-poeder uitsluitend
door een vakkundig gebruiker voor de hiervoor beschreven toepassing worden gebruikt, met inachtneming van de geldende
wetteiijke bepalingen ter bescherming van de werknemer, de geldende wetteiijke maatregelen ter voorkoming van ongevallen en
volgens deze gebruiksaanwijzing.
De PROPHYpearls zIJn bedoeld voor het reinigen van het tandoppervlak
Het is de plicht van de gebruiker om
- uitsluitend arbeidsmiddelen zonder gebreken te gebruiken;
- voor de juiste toepassing zorg te dragen;
- zichzelf, de patient en derden tegen mogelijke risico's te beschermen.
De PROPHYpearls lossen niet In water op en kunnen zich daarom mogelijk in de amalgaamafscheider concentreren.
Deze moet vaker worden gewisseld.
Klaarmaken voor gebrulk
Het poederreservoir van de PROPHYflex wordt linksom, tegen de pijirichting in losgeschroefd. Voor het vullen van de
poederhouder de PROPHYpearlS'tles/-stick goed schudden. Het poederreservoir tot het heltt vullen (zie afbeeiding).
Poederreservoir rechtop en rechtsdraaiend in de peilrichting vastschroeven. Als er na gebrulk nog restjes In het
poederreservoir zijn achtergebleven, sluit deze dan met rubberen dop goed af.
Bewaar de KaVo PROPHYpearls op een koele, droge plaats. Nooit aan warm le (> 60 ^C) blootstellen.

mondmasker te werken. Сагара11ёп1еп mogen niet met PROPHYpearls worden behandeld. Voor patienten met contactlenzen is
extra oogbescherming aan te bevelen. in extreme gevalten kan. vooral in geval van pathologische tandvleespockets (> 6 mm), lae-
sie van de sltjmvllezen en een extreern lange directs bestraling van het zachte weefsel, emfyseem ontstaan. Wortelcement,
gedemineraliseerd glazuur, vulllngen en de randen van de vul ingen mogen niet direct worden bestraald, Het reinigen mag alleen
indirect door middel van het roleffect geschieden. Alle deten en producten met kwetsbare oppervlakken dienen uit de buurt van de
pjaats van behandeiing te worden verwijderd. De reiniging rnag in deze gevallen uitsluitend indirect d.m.v. het roleffect geschieden.
Na het stralen van rnetalen oppervlakken kunnen deze een dot uiterlljk vertonen. Dit verschijnsel verdwijnt door polijsten.
