General information
G e ra teb esch reib u n g
Das Stroboskop p-PULSAR ist ein mobiles Gerat,
das mit einer LED Licht sowohl zum
Stroboskopieren (Blitzlicht) als auch zur normalen
Beobachtung (Dauerlicht) erzeugt. Genauer aus-
gedriickt ist auch das Dauerlicht in Wirklichkeit
ein pulslerendes (Blitz-) Licht, das jedoch wegen
seiner hohen Frequenz (3000 Hz) wie Dauerlicht
empfunden wird. Trotz dieses technisch nicht
mehr evidenten Unterschiedes wird im tolgenden
der Einfachheit halber die hergebrachte Termino-
logie (Blitzlicht/Dauerlicht) weiterverwendet.
Durch die kompakte und leichte Bauweise ohne
storende Kabel kann das Stroboskop p-PULSAR
mittels Schnellverschluss direkt und sicher an
das Laryngoskop angeschlossen werden und ist
damit sofort einsatzbereit.
Als Lichtquelle dient eine hocheffiziente LED,
welche mehrere Vorteile bietet:
• Kein Lampenwechsel erforderlich, da nahezu
unbegrenzte Lebensdauer
• Absolut gerauschloser Betrieb
• Helles weiRes Licht ohne Infrarot- und UV-
Anteil
Das Gerat besitzt einen modernen Li-lon-
Akkumulator und kann damit unabhangig von
einer Netzversorgung betrieben werden.
Uber das mitgelieferte Ladegerat (401500 30)
kann das Stroboskop p-PULSAR innerhalb kurzer
Zeit wieder aufgeladen werden und steht dann
wieder fOr ca. 1 Stunde Dauerbetrieb zur
Verfugung.
Bitte beachten.
D evice d escrip tio n
The p-PULSAR stroboscope is a mobile device
that generates light with an LED lamp for strobo
scopic examination (flashing light) and also tor
normal viewing (continuous light). To be more
precise, the continuous light is actually a pulsat
ing (flashing) light that, due to its high frequency
(3000 Hz), is perceived as continuous light. In
spite of this minor technical difference, for the
purpose of simplicity, conventional terminology
will be used (flashing light/continuous light) in
this manual.
Thanks to its compact and light-weight design,
without any cumbersome cables, the p-PULSAR
stroboscope can be directly and safely connect
ed to a laryngoscope via the quick-release cou
pling, thus allowing it be used straight away.
The light source is provided by a highly efficient
LED, which offers numerous advantages:
• As the service life Is almost unlimited, the
lamp does not have to be changed
• Completely silent operation
• Bright white light without any infrared or UV
light.
The unit features a modern Li-Ion battery, and
can thus be operated independently of the mains
supply.
The p-PULSAR stroboscope can be quickly
recharged using the enclosed charger
(40150030). Once recharged the unit can be
subsequently continuously operated for approx.
1 hour.
If examinations are planned when the battery is
discharged, work can be continued straight away
by connecting the charger to the mains supply*.
*Note; The battery is not simultaneously charged
during this time.
О п и с а н и е у с т р о й с т в а

Portable and mobile RF communications equipment should be used
no closer to any part of the p-PULSAR model 401500 20, including
cables, than the recommended separation distance calculated from
the equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter.
Recommended separation distance:
й ^ = [3.5/3]л/р 150 kHz to < 8 0 MHz

Where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in
watts [W] according to the transmitter manufacturer and d is the
recommended separation in meters [m].
Field strengths from fixed RF transmitters, as determined by an
electromagnetic site survey*, should be less than the compliance
level in each frequency range
Interference may occur in the vicinity of equipment marked with the
following symbol:
(«^»)
Note: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection by structures, objects and
people.
a Field strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio [cellular/cordless] telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM and
FM radio broadcast and TV broadcast cannot be predicted theoretically with accuracy. To assess the electromagnetic environment due to fixed RF
transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey should be considered. If the measured field strength in the location in which the unit is used exceeds the
applicable RF compliance level above, the unit should be observed to verify normal operation. If abnormal performance is observed, additional
measures may be necessary, such as reorienting or relocating the unit.
b Over the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz, field strengths should be less than 3 V/m.

d = [3,5 / ъ \\[р 150 КГц до < 80 МГц
d = [3,5 / ъ \[р 80 МГц до < 800 МГц
d = \ l 13 } /р 800 МГц до 2,5 ГГц

(if)

Table 206
Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the
M-PULSAR model 401500 20
The p-PULSAR model 401500 20 is intended for use in an electronnagnetic environnnent in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled.
The customer or user of the unit can help prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF
communications equipment (transmitters) and the unit as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the communications
equipment.

For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using the
equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the
transmitter manufacturer.
Note: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects
and people.
